Noella is a member of our Labour & Employment, Long-Term Care Law, Municipal Law and Advocacy & Dispute practices areas.

Representative Experience

Noella has represented employers at virtually every type of labour or employment related hearing, including the Labour Relations Board, Labour standards Tribunal, arbitrators and all levels of court.  Noella has acted as chief spokesperson in negotiating collective agreements and has been the employer’s nominee on the interest arbitration boards for two of the largest bargaining units in the Province- civil servants and teachers.  Human rights work has also formed part of her practice and Noella has worked with employers to develop policies, investigate complaints and respond to complaints filed under the human rights legislation.

On a Personal Note

Noella has served our community in various capacities over the past many years, including the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education and Symphony Nova Scotia. She also taught construction industry labour relations at the Nova Scotia Community College. Noella currently acts as a trustee for the Pictou Academy Educational Foundation.
